If the sky is a dominant feature in your dream, you may be thinking about the purpose of your life. A star-studded night sky may represent the unconscious, whereas the daytime sky may represent cosmic, rather than ordinary, awareness, giving you an insight into your place in the world.
If the sky is dark, this reflects moodiness and hardship but if the sky is bright, joy and the prospect of a respite from worries are heralded. The sky can also signify what is unattainable and beyond your reach. Jung regarded the night sky as highly significant in dreams because the symbolism of the constellations and the signs of the zodiac are archetypal representations of the inner world of the unconscious. According to traditional dream-lore, to dream of a red sky predicts disaster for the nation, to dream of a cloudy sky spells misfortune, whilst to dream of a blue sky brings good luck.
Clouds in dreams can either indicate feelings of joy and inspiration, or they can suggest that you are feeling overshadowed by someone or something. Furthermore, they suggest that you may be suffering from a hidden depression.
