Any symbol of salvation in a dream probably refers to one of two things:
(1) The religious idea of being rescued from one’s sins and their consequences.
If this is the ‘feel’ of the salvation motif in your dream, the dream may be expressing a longing for release from (unconscious) guilt-feelings; and, since the unconscious functions at a psychological rather than metaphysical level (using as symbols what metaphysics uses as doctrines), the dream may also be urging you to find within yourself enough love to accept yourself as you are.
(2) The psychological idea of healing and wholeness: the resolving of conflict and the achieving of balance and fullness in the psyche.
[1]Being saved or someone who saves someone from imminent danger almost always signals the need for approval, acceptance, care, and protection. The dreamer is going through a low emotional period in real life. However, other oneiric symbols and the context will supply important facts to interpret it correctly.
[2]Deliverance from bondage by god’s grace, i.E. Eternally from sin and spiritual death; temporal from sickness, enemies, poverty, etc.
