1- Immobility in a dream can be extremely frightening. This feeling very often occurs as the dreamer is beginning to learn more about themselves.

A feeling of oppression and of not being able to move usually indicates that the dreamer needs to, quite literally; sit still and be immobile within their ordinary everyday lives. They need to achieve a kind of stillness which is foreign to most people, and therefore initially- frightening. while later on it can be a state of peace and tranquillity.

2- To be immobilised in a dream usually indicates that we have created circumstances around us which are now beginning to trap us. We need to remain absolutely still until we have decided what the appropriate action needs to be, and then we can move forward in an appropriate way. Often such a dream comes when we arc facing the darker side of ourselves that which could be called evil.

A superhuman effort needs to be made to overcome what is holding us down.

3- The Unconditioned State, the Liberated Self. Immobility in this sense is dynamic stillness.

[1]

In general, this is an anxious dream in which the dreamer tries to move and is unable to. This nightmare could originate from a physiological problem or an uncomfortable position of some body part.

If this is not the case, the dream reflects a real situation in which immobility—whether spiritual or intellectual—is the fruit of an inferiority complex or low self esteem. In this case, you must study the causes to get to the bottom of the problem and find an adequate solution. When the dream does not generate anxiety, but rather tranquility, then it is interpreted as a sign of physical or mental exhaustion. In this case, it warns of the immediate need for a break.

Immobility in the spiritual sense is dynamic stillness.

It is the unconditioned state, or the self, liberated from the physical. In sanskrit this is known as pratyhara – withdrawal from the external world into the interior self.
