Used in many different ways, depending on context. Generally it represents a goal; point of change, release, death. Example: ‘I was due to be executed—what for I don’t know. I was not especially afraid of this, but my most vivid feelings were of great sadness at the people I was leaving behind, and for all the things I wanted to do in life, but would not now be able to. Then at the end I was watching myself being hanged’ (DK). Many people dream this ‘end of life’ theme. In virtually every one of these dreams there is a highlighting of ‘things to do’. Such dreams are a way of deciding what is of most value in the dreamer’s life.

[1]To dream of there being an end or an ending to something signifies the reaching of a goal, or a point at which things must inevitably change. We need to decide what we can leave behind, and what must be taken forward. We must decide what we value most.
A situation which may have given us problems is coming to a successful conclusion.
To be at the end can mean the subconscious and death.
[2]To dream of an ending represents completion, the culmination or achievement of a goal. You are realizing that there no such thing as an end, because in the life/death/life cycle of life, an end always precedes a beginning. You may be grieving the parting of ways between you and a loved one, but you can take heart in knowing that the love you share lives forever.

[3]This dream is literal. Therefore, to see the end of a situation reveals the dreamer’s desire to formalize a relationship or to finalize something that has been hurting her for a while. Everything will depend on whether the dream reflects your everyday life. In case it does not make any sense it dictates you to open yourself to the world and communicate more with others.
[4]The end of anything, featured in a dream, is another contrary symbol signifying new beginnings, unless it was a dead end or cul-de-sac, in which case the symbolism is straightforward and your dream is trying to awaken you to the possibility that you are following a road to nowhere.
