Some people believe that dreams can sometimes spot illness before your waking self is aware of its symptoms, so if a dream of disease persists or you can’t shake the memory of it, get your health checked by a doctor. On the other hand, the dream may be focusing on anxieties and inner conflicts with which you need to deal so that you can move forward with your life and find emotional harmony. Dreams that feature disease as a theme may refer to some discomfort or uncertainty in your waking life. Perhaps someone in particular is making life difficult for you?
If you have leprosy in a dream, do you feel like a social outcast? If another person is unwell in your dream and you recognize them, you may either harbor negative feelings towards that particular person or fear for their emotional health. Memories of childhood illnesses, such as chicken pox or measles, may express a simple longing for the unconditional love of a parent. For Jungians, dreams of fainting may be prompted by a sudden insight into the essential nature of a personal ambition, whilst for Freud these are wish-fulfillment dreams relating to orgasm.
According to ancient predictive dreamlore, your interpretation of dreams concerning your health should reverse the state of health pictured in the dream. Dreams of poor health, therefore, predict a period of good health, whilst dreams of disease suggest a period of good health.
[1]Dreaming of a disease indicates that, despite not being aware of it, you suffer emotional or health problems. In this case, the episode not only freely expresses your emotional reaction to this situation but also contains important messages that may contribute to your healing. Keep in mind, however, that each condition generates its own recurring dreams. For example, people who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness often dream of clocks and other time references, which means that they have a keen sense of the time left in their lifespan. In contrast, for those with cancer is not surprising to dream of scenes in which cars suddenly lose control and crash. These images usually represent the fast growth of cancer cells. Likewise, cancer patient often dream of issues related to contamination or poisoning. However, it is noted that dreaming of a disease is common, and the protagonist does not have to suffer any condition. In these cases, the oneiric perceptions may simply reflect a need for affection.
If you have this kind of dream, the African belief recommends you visit the healer. In general, superstitious people consider the meaning of this dream opposite. Therefore, it portends a long period of good health.
[2]Dreams of a disease symbolize that you’ve been going against your grain, ignoring your instincts and indulging in fearful thoughts. You are venting out a negative influence that someone or something has had on you as you realize that your thoughts have a viral effect on everyone around you. This dream may be a message for you to take care of your health in order to avoid challenges that could arise from an imbalance.
If you are dealing with an actual disease, this dream could be helping you to heal or gain an insight into its remedy.

[3]Disease is never a positive picture. It speaks of sin, being unclean and of contamination. It also speaks of being under a curse as this Scripture indicates: • Deuteronomy 28:60 Moreover he will bring upon you all the diseases of Egypt, which you were afraid of; and they will cleave to you.
• Speaking of sin and the flesh: • Leviticus 13:46 All the days in which the plague [will be] in him he will be defiled; he [is] unclean: he will dwell alone; without the camp [will] his habitation [be].
[4]To dream of disease in general actually signifies happy times for you ahead.
If the dream involved the illness of someone known to you, it predicts good luck for that person. However, if your dream concerned a sexually transmitted disease (such as HIV or AIDS, genital warts, etc) then it is a strong warning that someone is trying to ruin your reputation. Beware of confiding in people you are not 100 percent sure you can trust.
[5](1) If someone close to you features in a dream as suffering from some disease which in reality he or she does not have, then it is possible that your dream expresses either genuine anxiety for the person or a hidden hostile wish.

[6]Whether it’s you or someone else afflicted by disease, in the dream it applies to you. Many times such dreams are warning you that you are on a course of self- destruction. Examine your lifestyle, your eating habits, your health care, and change them if necessary.
[7]To dream that you are diseased, denotes a slight attack of illness, or of unpleasant dealings with a relative.
For a young woman to dream that she is incurably diseased, denotes that she will be likely to lead a life of single blessedness.
