Vision: Seeing your own decapitation: either illness or shame and embarrassment.
If you are decapitating somebody else: you arc possibly the winner in a conflict or a legal argument. Watching someone you know being decapitated: you are losing a person you love. Watching a stranger being decapitated: you might either defeat an adversary or create new enemies.
Depth Psychology: Decapitation is a sign that you are revising your present attitude about a specific event. Are you being ruled too much by your head? Maybe you should start trusting your intuition more and living accordingly!
[1]This dream suggests that the dreamer is losing control. In a decapitation there is a dramatic and violent separation of the head from the body. Under normal circumstances the mind controls and directs the body. This dream suggests that the dreamer may be under the control of his bodily drives and may be separated from rational thoughts and feelings. Disassociation may be occurring in regard to some behavior or issue in life. However, this dream may have other meanings. This includes excessive concern about punishment and indicates that there may be severe pressure and anxiety in the dreamer’s life.
[2]Dreams of being beheaded are not usually omens of death or even of punishment, although they may indicate anxiety about punishment. Because of the complexity of symbolism associated with the head, decapitation can have a wide variety of different meanings, from losing touch with one’s emotions (a split between the mind and the body) to losing control (as in the expression “losing one’s head”).
As with all dream symbols, the feeling, tone, and setting of the dream indicate which interpretation is appropriate. (See Also: Beheading, Guillotine).
[3]You are “losing your head” and consciousness, and cant clearly see your present situation. Suggests you either disregard your head—the control center—or be reasonable again.
[4]This dream suggests you feel you are losing control in your waking life.
