Branches symbolize the various directions you have taken in your life. Branches could also represent your children, or the birth of new ideas that may one day flourish and bear fruit. A tree with wide branches could suggest a warm, open personality, whereas a small, close-leaved tree would suggest an uptight personality. The noise of the wind rushing through the branches was considered by ancient people to be the voice of nature; in dreams it signifies truth telling or the need for it. You should look for clues in your dream as to what truth your unconscious wants you to hear or tell.
[1]A branch (peace, olive, laurel) is used to honor a winner. Vision: A green branch: your hopes will come true—you will successfully complete a project. Dry branch: your past still haunts you; or you are holding on to things from the distant past and your hopes are dashed.
Depth Psychology: Green, healthy branches symbolize your positive character traits or life experiences; dry branches are a sign of lost hopes, ideals, past experiences, and negative character traits that you have worked through.
[2]1. Growth—often personal, frequently social or family-related.
2. Petty arguments; a little bad luck (to cut down branches).
3. Difficulty in communication, often related to business affairs (broken branches).
4. Strength, power and protection, often representing an important person in the dreamer’s life (oak or similar strong wood).
[3]Symbolizes the day to day.
Dreaming of branches in bloom foretells the arrival of a positive period; if they are green, it is a warning not to be hasty with your decisions; if they are dry, it indicates a loss of physical energy, and if they are cut, it signals that you have forgotten one of your principal objectives. [4]Twig, Tree. Looking for help, support (Don t saw off the limb you sit on). Symbol of the back, or at least the shoulders. Connected or being close to nature.
Does the tree have leaves or are they already on the ground? If it is a broken or sawn-off branch, you have too much on your plate.
[5]It betokens, if full of fruit and green leaves, wealth, many delightful hours with friends.
If they are dried, sorrowful news of the absent.
[6]Reveals the works of one’s life, either fruitful or dried up and worthless; see “tree”
